The Windows 8.0 (Windows 8.1 Now Available) Metro-style desktop game apps were undergraduate projects developed by a computer science student of the College of Engineering, Computer Science and Technology (ECST) in California State University of Los Angeles (Cal State LA) for the C++ Object Oriented Programming class. The developer, Tony Liang, was a computer science undergraduate.
He developed the apps using the Construct 2 game engine. He made the apps’ images using GIMP 2. They support keyboard+mouse and touch. He packaged and uploaded the apps to the Microsoft Store. He submitted the apps to the Microsoft “Ultimate Experience” promotion for a free copy of Halo 4 for the Xbox 360. He submitted the apps to the App Builder Keep the Cash Offer promotion for $100 per app.
Survive Or Die is a top-down endless action game set in a snowy area. The player is attacked by armed enemies and must grab power-ups and use the environment to even the odds.

Zombie Massacre is a top-down action horror zombie game. The player starts with a pistol. Endless waves of zombies will try to kill the player. The player must kill zombies to accumulate points. With these points, the player can purchase other weapons nearby.
